I recently gave evidence to the House of Lords Domestic Abuse Act committee on 21 May 2026 on why the current definition of domestic abuse isn't working.
It felt appropriate to be alongside Dr Nicola Sharp-Jeffs OBE, CF as she and I used our research to successfully campaign for better protection for survivors back in 2021 when we persuaded the government to extend criminal law protection to survivors who had escaped from their abusers.
